Neste mesmo dia (26/05/1999) ocorreria outro jogo épico em território brasileiro, Palmeiras e River Plate duelaram pela semi-final da Libertadores da América, com grande atuação de Alex, aquele mesmo que anos depois foi ídolo no Fenerbahçe, na ocasião com apenas 22 anos. 20 años después de este partido. Año 2019, Flamengo y River se enfrentan por la final de la Copa Libertadores. Mismo resultado, y la misma forma de ganar y de perder la final, increíble.
Uma das finais mais marcantes da Champions League!!! Podemos ver como David Beckham organizava bem o meio, neste jogo um pouco mais recuado por causa da suspensão de Roy Keane, sendo o ótimo Ryan Giggs deslocado para a direita e o fraco Blomqvist na esquerda. Já o Bayern tinha uma defesa muito sólida, auxiliada por Lottar Matthäus, um meio excelente com Jeremies, Effemberg e Mario Basler, porém um ataque não muito bom, com os esforçados Zickler e Jancker. Não foi um bom primeiro tempo, com os dois times errando muitos passes, principalmente o Bayern, que abusou dos chutões, entretanto o segundo tempo ganhou em emoção, principalmente nos minutos finais. Vale a pena assistir... Jogo épico! Melhores do jogo: Beckham (Manchester) e Mario Basler (Bayern)

We can see how David Beckham organized the middle well, in this game a little more withdrawn because of the suspension of Roy Keane, being the great Ryan Giggs shifted to the right and weak Blomqvist in the left. Already Bayern had a very solid defense, aided by Lottar Matthäus, an excellent midfielder with Jeremies, Effemberg and Mario Basler, but a not very good attack with the hard-working Zickler and Jancker. It was not a good first half, with both teams missing a lot of passes, especially Bayern, who overused the kicks, but the second half won in excitement, especially in the final minutes. Worth watching ... Epic game! Best of the game: Beckham (Manchester) and Mario Basler (Bayern)

Totally agree. Honour-bound to hate Man U but for this night, all rivalry was forgotten in the face of one of the greatest comebacks and most riveting dramas in football history. Unforgettable.
